Faded 3000k hid fogs

anyone running 3000k hid bulbs? I had them installed into my fx for ~8 months and mainly I drive nights on weekends. would this be considered as wear and tear of a hid bulb?

which brand are these? Only time I see tis happen usually is on stock HID stuff.....otherwise the aftermarkets just cut out lol.
I think that is just the bulb being worn out

like what jordan said, my 3000k bulbs just go blank when they die (their non-hid though) but judging from the pics id say that is def not normal, esp if you have been running both fogs for the same amount of time

however.. i wonder what funky colors it will turn next.. bright red?

some ebay brand, contacted the seller and they are replacing them.

yes, both bulbs were installed on the same day, not sure what's the next color scheme but being red'ish, it's not NYC legal. I have them "off" until I get them replaced. :frown:

thanks, these are prob a bad batch or simply it's just ebay cheap. I'll take another set and 1 more try. guess I'll know by end of 2010 .

hey soon 8 months aint too bad for ebay bulbs lol. ive replaced at least one bulb on my ebay 3000k's once a month now haha

kensun=.....year and a half so far (only time i've had problems was from the wiring that was done)

It was probably just a bad batch, I bought the same bulbs from the same seller. Mine lasted over a year with constant use, than one of them just went. Replacements are still running strong.
