Exide Orbital battery

Hi guys,

Nearly time to change my battery..Has anyone heard of Exide batteries...Seen hundreds of good reviews for them and some say "much better and lighter then the Optima batteries.(Best bang for the buck as many have said) The one that fits our FX's 03-08 is called the
Exide orbital..650 CCA 810 and 100 hours reserve..etc

If anyone has used or knows of this battery..Please share your opinions or suggestions.

Orbital series is designed for Marine/RV use. Exide does not score well in the overall automobile battery market. Consumer Reports lists Die Hard in first place, and has for several years. Check that report before you buy, and maybe think about saving money in some other area. In the overall scheme of things, a few bucks difference for a lower-rated battery is not worth it to me.

I have an '07 (manufactured in mid-'06, can't remember exact month) and my OEM battery is still going strong. I've never had a battery last this long. Makes me almost consider buying another OEM battery when this one finally goes, though once I see the price and realize that I could by ~3 batteries at Costco for the price of 1 OEM, I'll probably change my mind.
