Exhaust leak

i have an exhaust leak at the rear flange of the exhaust and mid-pipe. i was told at the dealer it won't pass inspection when i'm do in aug. i hate spending money before i'm ready, i just ordered my G35 extension for the nismo exhaust, and i'm shopping around for the best price on the nismo. my local nissan dealer gave me a price of $1324 shipped to the dealer. Is this a good price or can i do better? other than that is their a way i can do a cheap fix until i'm ready to fork over the loot?

Take it to a muffler shop and have them take a look. If it is a small leak they can probably patch it up.

I have the same issue and rather than starting a new thread i figured i would pose my question here.

I am thinking about replacing my setup with this:

Will this fit perfectly and all that would need to be done is extending the tips in length??

megan is a popular brand. i've had so so luck with Megan products but all in all they are definitely worth a try. most of their other products are moderately priced.

figuring that it is a coupe then I am sure it will be short but most muffler shops can get it to work.

he's gonna need the extension for sure...better not cheap out there and go to just any muffler shop.

how about both. the mid pipe def needs to be extended. then you might have to fix the position of the flanges to work on the FX and after that the tips will most likely need to be extended.

hmmm, ok. i'll be finalizing my plan after the new year but i think i have a few shops that do good work at decent prices.
