Hey Everyone,

1.After searching the forums and looking around on Google it seems that the the Invidia Gemini is the best option for me. I like the sound of the ARK, but it's only for RWD. Are there any other catback systems I should be looking at?

2.Also, I can't seem to find a concrete answer on the applicability of CAI for the 2nd gen FX35. Can anyone here give me a definitive yes/no?

3. Who does ECU tuning?

not right now.. a chick is posting on another thread.. :smile (2):

Ark and Invidia are basically the only options for the 35. Regarding the CAI, there isn't one at all and I don't think anyone has tried. In the end don't waste your $ on an Intake period as there is no HP gains. You can do an ECU tune via UpRev

Whatever became of the gains from uprev? the other thread kind of died. Anyone got any testimonial on the uprev tuning?

Why are all of you guys saying that CAI is pointless? Figured on a 3.5 V6 a CAI would give some pretty good gains, as it's not a small engine by any means.

By itself, it won't do too much...tie it in with other breather mods and a tune and now you're talking!

Engine size doesn't matter. You're assuming that the factory intake is restrictive and it's really not. If you want the CAI because it looks cool and sounds nice, go for it. But don't get it because you're expecting a significant power increase. It's a couple of hp and about the same as you would get from the much cheaper option of just putting some K&N filters in the factory airboxes.

^ This. I have also heard the same thing re: the new intakes, that they are very high functioning. If you amp up the engine with an exhaust as P said and then bore out your TB, get a tune, clean up your intake, a new CAI set- up may begin to generate geometric gains......

It looks like w/ both the first and second gens, the best bang for the buck seems to be on the exhaust side. I see some of the second gen G guys picking up 20whp w/ test pipes, exhaust, and tune. On the other hand, you see arguments all day long about whether or not intakes produce any power at all and the dynos are all inconclusive.
