Hi Folks, I thought I'd run this by some of the people who are also FX 35 enthusiasts. I've been an owner for about 16 months and found some interesting things about my cross over. First, the shift points of the automatic tranny aren't very economy oriented and the suspension is either severely over dampened ( both compression and rebound dampening ) or else the spring rates are poorly configured. I've driven many many vehicles and this isn't good on anything but smooth roads. I'd love to find a set of progressively wound springs and a set of struts to match the spring rates. Has anybody found a good combination that doesn't lower the car. ( I need clearance for winter snows ). In other threads, I've read that the original struts are KYB ( Kyaba ) which are good quality. My vehicle has a little over 100K on it and the suspension is not worn out. I'm pretty confident that if I had 5 people in it and a boat on the hitch, it might be fine but usually, the rig is empty. Anybody try some combinations that are well dampened but not squishy. I don't want a Cadillac ride but the rig hops all over the road in a pot hole filled back road.
