Hi guys, I'm creating an intro as prescribed by the site. I have a 2010 Infiniti FX35, AWD. Love the car and have had very few problems. It's nearly 10 years old, so I am starting to see some minor issues, which is why I joined the site today! This is my first winter in Wisconsin (I'm from southern California) and it's been extremely cold, even when the car is garaged. Not sure if it's affected anything.

I had a strange issue where my cars electronics completely died. I had the battery replaced last year. Here's what happened:
  • The car died while out and about running errands. I got out of the car, got back in and tried again because I saw the Security Indicator Light flash a few times, thinking my Intelligent Key was malfunctioning
  • We drove off 5 minutes and then parked and stopped the car. After 10 minutes the car died again and the Security Indicator Light rapidly blinked
  • A friend came to jump the car and it started up 100%
  • Driving home 15 minutes, then stopping the car, the car completely died
  • In the morning, got another jump and the drove and let engine run for 30 minutes, and went to get the battery tested. Never shut the car off
  • Battery tested was okay after shutting off all electronics (AC and radio)
  • Drove to work and parked
  • Car started up, electronics seem to work
So is it possible to have an intermittent alternator? Bad belt? Does the extreme cold have anything to do with it? It's just finally starting to warm up now.

Any help is appreciated. I did search for answers, but no definitive answers yet on this forum except something about AC Module or loose wiring which I've already checked for.

Thx!
