Dynamat Melting Issues

I bought some B-Quiet sound deadening material same stuff as dynamat. I've read on some places that people complained of the dynamat, b-quiet, and fatmat of melting and dripping when exposed to hot temperatures. Like they said the door panels heat up from the sun and hot environments causing the deadening to melt because of its asphalt like substance on the back causing messes and drips.


Should I be concerned? I don't want to install this stuff and it causes a huge mess inside the car doors.
 
It's 100 degrees right now in WI for 3 days in a row and my Dynamat Extreme(trunk, rear seat, roof and 4 doors) is holding up pretty well, no melting, dripping, smell etc. I had some smell before with fatmat installed on my previous ride though.

I have had dynamat on my previous rides and it gets 100 and above sometimes where I live in the summer and I never had any melting issues.
 
Good hopefully mine doesn't melt. I received the B-Quiet ultimate stuff from UPS today. Installing it this Friday into the doors to help with the bose system.
 
You should be ok with the Ultimate, it's got a higher butyl content. The cheaper stuff - Fatmat, B-Quiet Extreme, original dynamat is mostly asphalt based. That was mostly what people complained about, it would melt in very high temperatures and smell. It was essentially roofing material they repackaged. Most of the decent stuff being sold now - Dynamat Xtreme, e-Dead, Second Skin, etc. is butyl based or has a high butyl content. The advantages are that it has a higher temperature resistance and won't smell.
