DVD player in 2006 FX & MP3's

Before I waste a DVD, can anyone tell me if:

1) I can load a DVD up w/MP3's and then play them through car speakers via the DVD player in a 2006 FX?

2) The CD player in the front dash won't recognize a DVD, right?

Audio DVD's will not play in the stock CD player. Since I don't have an 06 FX someone else will have to answer your first question. But if I had to guess I would say no as I have read that most car DVD players are not equipped with playing ripped audio dvd's in mp3 or any other format.

the front will not read dvd with mp3 or any dvd period. I tried a few times when i first got my fx35 because the damn button says cd*dvd. Then I read the manual

The cd supports wma and mp3. For some reason only very low bitrate works on WMA but up to 320 bitrate support for mp3. I have nothing but cd-rw disc full of mp3 mostly 320 bitrate and it sounds as good as original cd.

I don't have the dvd player so don't know if it will read mp3 from dvd
