Driver's Seat play?

Ive had this 2003 FX45 for about two years now and I'm still loving it.
However there are a few things that bug me... one of which is; The divers's seat has about a half inch "play" in it front to back. Like there is a loose bolt somewhere. I checked and tightened the main bolts connecting the seat to the floor of the car...
But has anyone else encountered this? I don't mind removing the entire seat if I have an idea on where to look to remedy the issue. Id imagine a body shop or upholstery shop wil want big $$$ to spend the time tracking it down. Just bugs me ya know...

ok..did a little more searching... saw that several people complained about the same issue.
Has anyone found a DIY fix? My local dealer is going to want $$$$ Im sure.

that's normal. I think its an issue with the track itself getting damaged. IIRC the fix is a new track

Yes - not normal, but common. It's not the track that's damaged, it's a plastic gear that rides in the track. A while ago there were some random replacement gears floating around but they were hard to find and hard to install. The only real fix is to replace the entire seat track assembly which is like $800 from the dealer. You might be better off looking for a salvage assembly.

I have the same issue but I don't weigh alot so it kinda works out
