drivers seat a little on the narrow side?

this might me a newbiee ques but i gotta ask. anyone find the drivers seat on their FX a little on the narrow side?is this how the bucket seats are designed?ill admit i might be a little big to be driving a FX but im not tight.just after about a half hour of driving it gets a litle annoying.any suggestions?

I don't find it narrow, but then again I'm pretty skinny.
Ever tried reclining it a bit back to look like a boss while you're on the road?
 
I agree, they are a bit narrow for me as well. Im not skinny but nor am I "big". Ive found that I have to position myself just right to be comfortable, but it is possible :)
 
If you mean the side bolsters then yes, they Are meant to "pinch" your upper body And hold you in place during spirited maneuvers. It does bother my wife a little bit on long drives where she will move to the back seats if it gets bad.

Where is it narrow? I think they're a little on the big side, I never feel the side bolsters or seat bottom bolsters. The seats on my old IS were much deeper. But nothing was narrower than the aftermarket Corbeau racing seats I had in an old car. They actually stated in the instructions that the max size was a 32" waist; that was tight.
 
My passanger seat has tighter wings than my driver's seat. It was like that even before my cheeks crawled in there. In the rare instances I'm sitting passanger, I like the tight sporty feel. It's like a nice warm hug after a night of drinking! :liquor:

yep, they're on the smaller side. I'm 6'10" 290# w/ a 38" waist. My seat is programmed to a very comfortable position, but when we road trip it 1.5 hours or more, i start getting really irritable and have to stop and stretch more often.

I found that if i drive without my wallet in (back right pocket), the seat is more uncomfortable because the controls integrated into the right side dig into my leg more. My wallets protects me from the hard bump. :shrug:
