Drivers door jammed--help

Cold night, opened drivers door to get in and noticed it was hard to open but it did. When I went to close it, it didn't shut--seemed odd so I shut it harder and it closed--- the only problem is it didn't open again. I got out the other side and tried prying the door open from the outside --nothing works---it's jammed pretty good. Wouldn't this be covered under warranty? This is a two year old car! I've experienced problems with the drivers door not unlocking on first attempt in cold weather--but that's only happened a couple times. Has this happened to anyone else?

Nope hasn't happened to me. Take it to the dealer since your still under warranty. The lock/hinge may need to be lubed or replaced.

^ agree, dont damage the car trying to get the door open. Take it to the dealer and get your loaner.

That happened to me on my 2007 Infiniti G35. It was a couple years old and the exact same thing happened. I took it to the Dealer and it was part of the mechanism inside the door that failed. They replaced it under warranty.

Thanks for the replies, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one. I'm
going to the dealer tomorrow, will let you know what happens.

Update,
It was a faulty door lock actuator, replaced under warranty. Interestingly enough I also got a new car battery as well for a prorated amount-- the old one needed replacing which I thought was odd for a 2 year old car, but was happy to get since the car has sounded like it struggled to start on a few occasions.
