Down shift rev matching

I have an 08 FX35 awd and I just noticed from 2nd gear > 1st the rev matching doesn't seem to work? The rpm doesn't blip like from 5 > 4 > 3 > 2?

Or is this normal :ooh:

It should rev match just the same; however, if your speed at the time isn't high enough the engine won't rev all that much.

Yes my speed is high enough for 2 > 1 to blip, but it doesn't :s

Mine doesn't blip also, I think.
My speed just decreases quickly bringing me forward.

If I remember correctly, my 2 > 1 is a pretty abrupt shift. Seems to really slow down before engaging I guess is a way to say it. It almost feels like the car is actually braking a little first. Kinda weird.

Stu is right...it's pretty abrupt. Maybe I am wrong about the rev match?

Does anyone know if this' a trait for all 5ats that's in G35 and 08 G37's as well? Or is it just the FX ppl :s

I sure hope we're suppose to have that trait. That's one of my favorite features on the 08+ G37's.

I have an 09 G37 with 7at, gear 2 > 1 blips like a boss. Just find it weird that 5at doesn't.
