Door speaker replacement?

I got these JBL GT7 6.5" components and GT7 coaxials and when I wired up the front to the component I get no tweeter sound. The woofer works well. No signal coming from the tweeter terminals on crossover at all. Are the door speakers only used as woofers? Anyone replace their bose speakers on stock amps? Thanks

UPDATE... Unlike my GTR or M37 (which use similar door speaker) The FX uses the door speaker only for midbass and doesnt crossover to the speakers in the dash or any tweeters. So my next question is would it hurt to install the crossover/ woofer without the tweeter?
