Do oem 18" rims fit a Fx50

I'm looking at getting some winter tires and rims for my QX70 5.0. Will the base QX70 18" rims fit? I've searched and all I could come up with is that the Gen 1 18" rims definitely won't fit, but nothing about the Gen 2 rims. Tire rack shows that certain aftermarket 18" fit, but if I can get a good deal on used oem rims I'd go with that.

I'm not sure about the rotor size but even it was bigger the diameter of the wheel wouldn't come into play, as it's way larger than any brake rotor. The wheels offset, lateral distance out from the hub, has more to do with clearing the rotor and all the wheels offered stock on the S51 body FX/QX whether they were 18", 20" or 21" all have a 50 offset so your good there.

I fitted the OEM FX50 brake calipers and rotors to my FX37. I also bought the OEM 18" for my winter set. Rear will fit, the front will not fit without spacers. You will need at least 20mm spacers for the front.

The OEM 20" will clear fine.

Thanks for the confirmation, I'm surprised there aren't more forum members running this setup for winter.

That's strange, here are the wheel specs. Every wheel offered has an offset of 50. The fx50 both the 20" and 21" wheels too. So not sure how the 18" would need a spacer of 20 mm to effectively create an offset of 30.SmartSelect_20190212-093805_Chrome.jpeg

You are right; the offset are all the same. However, the spokes on the 18" do not provide enough clearance for the front calipers. The 20" and 21" spokes have a more positive width from the center, hence the good clearance.

I know I'm jumping on this late but I bought a new set of 18" Nissan rims from a Nissan Rogue. They work perfectly for my winter tires and plenty of caliper clearance on my FX50S. I will say though that I'm running 25mm spacers all around for my summer tires. I left them on for the 18" winter rims.

I'm also looking at other Nissan rims as an option. Thanks for confirming they will also work.

What size tires are you running on those 18" rims, they are probably narrower 7 or 7.5? I am thinking of going with a 20" rim from a Murano or Pathy, tire price is negligible vs a 18" and would look better. But the potholes in Chicago are ridiculous, though I've never damaged a wheel here in 20 years! Decisions decisions.

I'm running 265-65's on them right now but with the lowering springs and spacers, they are very close to the fenders. I'm thinking of replacing them with a little lower profile like a 60 series. If it was up to me, I would go with the 20's. I know what you are saying about the potholes (in Buffalo here, they seem to always appear right were I'm driving). The taller profile tires seem to soak up the potholes a little better but still a rough ride. Good luck with your decision and send pics when you get a chance. What color is your 5.0?

I found a nice set of 7 spoke 20s from a Murano for $700 that I'm negotiating.
She is black on black. You can check out pics in my profile page. Pics are from the dealer, because she is all salted up right now.

I've put 265/50/20 winters on the OEM 20" enkeis and they are fairly comfortable, I'm in Toronto, Canada so the roads aren't brilliant. Putting the OEM bridgstones on a set of vettel/eau rouge rims for summer that I just got. How much does the circumference grow with the 65's? Is it within 3%?

I would love to see those vettel rims on your FX. I know that if I go from 265/65 18" to a 265/60 18" I lose about 1.1" on the diameter (about 3.4%). I need that extra clearance for the winter tires. For my summer 21", I want them as close to the fenders as possible. The H&R lowering springs are tight and I have never hit the fenders...even on those big potholes.

Nick, I checked out your profile but did not see any pics. It may be me as I'm accessing this site from work. Shhh….

That is gorgeous!!! It looks identical to my FX50S. Was the 5.0 badge on the fender a factory emblem? Mine did not have that and I was thinking of adding it.

Here she is with new winter shoes, only thing missing is the snow!
I bought these 20" rims with new costco tpms sensors for $600 off craigslist, they came from a 2013 Murano LE.
Purchased a set of Blizzaks from Firestone for $865, they were having a Presidents Day sale. Included mounting, balancing, rotation, and lifetime road hazard. Went with 235/55-20, so basically the same diameter just about an 1" narrower than the 21s.
Got a full set of 25mm spacers, but only put the front ones on, it was getting dark and cold! Next season I will definitely throw the back ones on too!
Bring on the snowpocalypse!!!
