That is an intense insulation install man, somebody did a great job. Though, considering you paid a professional shop to do it and didn't include dis/reassembly instructions, I don't think it really counts as a "DIY"... :dontknow: Excellent mod regardless.
I would probably shit in my pants if I see my car stripped like this. Scary to behold. I would imagine the difference after the install, you would probably fail to notice when you are already doing 90mph with the road noise isolated.
Santiagoraco, there is a huge difference. do such work was worth it, since the goals were achieve it. reduce the noise in the cabin, make sure that a full-time music began to sound better and thereby increase comfort =)
Sorry to bump this old thread, but that's some DEADENING work. $1000 in cost is a bargain for the amount of work involved.
Thanks for share those pics.
I would tho gen2 have more OEM/factory deadening already tho, guess not.
Over the previous gen the 2nd gen does use alot more sound deadening. Enough to notice the difference in how quiet the ride is in it. They used alot more deadening behind the firewall and behind the engine. Also the outside tire wells are more insulated with acoustic material.
One thing I don't understand though is how is this thread a DIY guide? Nothing in it shows exactly how to do this. You just have pictures of it installed and thats about it. Guess thats why the mods changed the thread already. lol It would of been interesting to see exactly how this whole process was done.
