Diy battery change

I havent found any descriptive threads on a diy battery replacement. I know that I would need to remove the molding on the passenger side via the circular plastic clips. I think.

Does anyone know the technique to popping these out? I am notorious for going "he-man" on plastic clips/fasteners. So if you can prevent me from running into a broken plastic pieces problem I would appreciate it. My thought was needle nose pliers?

Thanks!

I just used a small flat head screwdriver to pry them up a little at the notch. Then you can simply pull the fastener out with needle nose pliers. I do this with all the plastic fasteners and haven't broken one yet. The more annoying part with the battery change is the battery tie down. The rear one is hard to keep in place when you're installing the new battery.

+1 for the HF plastic molding tool set.

Nonetheless i picked up a pack of 20 or so clips off ebay.
