Disabling LDWS?

Hey guys, I have a 2006 FX35 with Tech, Sport, Touring

I don't have the rear dvd player but I do have the LDWS. I can't stand the darned thing. As simple as it is, I get annoyed that I have to turn it off every time i start the car before it starts beeping at me all the time when I'm driving.

Is there a way to turn it off completely? Hold the button for x amount of seconds, tap the brake, turn the key, etc that will disable it permanently?

I can tune out the LDWS but it makes my wife absolutely crazy, good thing it's not her car.......

For future reference:

Turn off the LDWS with a quick push of the button then PRESS and HOLD the LDWS button for about 4-5 seconds. It will beep, beep, beep, beeeeeeep at you while flashing the LDWS light on your dash.

This has disabled it until you turn it back on yourself.

my grandmother has it in her m35x and i asked her if she uses it and she said she couldn't even hear it, so i asked if she wanted me to shut it off and she was complaining that i can't leave a car alone I always have to change things lol..
 
I almost never hear mine. I doubt it's because I stay in between the lines. I blame the music. However, one time it did go off and alerted me that I was drifting out of my lane. So it's not completely useless. :tongue:
