Dashboard

I have the wheat interior and the dash is bubbling near the passenger side air vent. All the pictures of the bubbling dash I've seen are the black dashes and in the middle or throughout the whole thing. I read the warranty info and it did not specify color or location.

Is the wheat color included? Does it have to be in the center of the dash above the radio to be covered?

Lastly, I have an '05. What is the chances they would swap the dash with an 06+ knowing that the radio will not fit back in but telling them that would be my concern?

I don't think it matters what color or the location of the bubbles.. And why would you want a dash that's not your year?

I know. I would let them know I would take care of all the added trim pieces.

As far as why I would want the 06+. I want to get rid of the tape deck and replace the radio with the updated version and controls. Although I have navigation with a color screen on mine, I like the interface better on the 06+. I think it looks much better than the 03-05 too.

Just got mine done today '07 FX. Dealer gave me a G37 loaner. Very fun car to drive. Maybe that will be my wife's next car. Dash looks way better. Different material from the original.

If they say no, maybe you can offer to add a little bit of cash for an upgraded dash...
People have reported that the dealers have replaced them even with very minor bubbling. It seems like a no hassle repair. *fingers crossed for when I need this done*

This is true. I just called up a local dealer on Wednesday and said I had bubbles on my dash and heard it was covered under factory recall till 2015. Without having to bring my car in, they ordered the dash that day. Brought my car in today and it was replaced within hours. I had minimal bubbling compared to other FX's I've seen.

It's pretty much no questions asked. If there's bubbling of any kind, it's covered for up to 8 years and I think 96,000 miles? They only replace the upper dash, not the part around the radio/HVAC. I had it done last year and they didn't even need to look at it before scheduling everything.
