Curious about Chevron Techron.

I'm just curious about the Chevron gas with the Techron technology in it. Is it really better, providing higher performance and a cleaner engine? I've always just gone to a Shells gas station because they have the lowest prices in my area. Have you guys tried the Techron cleaner?

Also just random question, has anyone tried royal purple oil for their car. I know many people are M1 fans.

No, not really any better. All the top tier gasolines are pretty much the same. And any of the fuel injector cleaners that pour into your gas tank are useless as well. I used to use Valvoline fuel injector cleaner years back (sponsorship) and honestly it made no difference in mileage or performance. My car was on the dyno a lot during that time so I definitely know there was no performance gain. And I used to track mileage; zero difference. Shell is fine.

Just like I think Seafoam is snake oil too. None of the ingredients should make any difference. It just smokes when you add it so you think that its' doing something. In reality, it's just Seafoam that's smoking.

I had some spark knock in my FX and poured two bottles of chevron techron in the tank and it got rid of it. Yes this stuff works I picked it up at Autozone. Do a search on this stuff online. It's the only actual fuel cleaner that works.

just do a motor oil change after you use it because it has a habit of fouling up the oil. It's always recommended. And always pour it in with an empty tank of gas then fill up 15-20 gallons depending on the bottle size you bought.
