Crackling

Hi all,

I'm new to the FX35 and I've noticed that when I'm at Idle and after I've turned it off I'm hearing some crackling...Is this normal? Any ideas what's causing it?

If its doing it after the car is shut off that's normal expanding and contracting because it's cooling down.

Now if it's doing it while the car is running with the engine on that's not normal at all. I had that crackling sound when the car was running. My dealer fixed the problem it's the Y pipe heatshields. Some extra sound dampening clamps the dealer put in fixed it.

Yes, I've noticed this when the car was on and in "park". I should have asked this a few hours ago. I just got back from the dealer getting my registration and inspection sticker.
