I bought a used 2008 Fx Sport back in september. The car is still covered under the full warranty until next summer --2012.
I was removing the front splash guard, to change the oil and filter, and noticed the shield is split on the front right side, almost to the center. There doesn't apperar to have ANY "tell-tell" marks that suggest an impact.
I can repair this minor damaged part, but was just wondering about a possible defect?
Also, on an unrelated item, I noticed that on the left front hub, the splines for 4x4 drive, are clearly visable. The right side is different, no visable splines.
My first thought is that the left front hub is missing a cover plug???
I bought this Infiniti from a local Ford dealer and before purchase I called the Infinity dealer that sold it new, and the service manager stated all services were up to date and there had been no repairs ever.
Since this Infinity dealer is nearly 90 miles away (closest one) I thought I would ask these questions before contacting the dealer.
