Couple of Radio Question

Hey guys how's it goin:

So I made a mp3 CD today and put it on, it started playing but without a sound. Are these radios mp3 compatible? and its there anyway to have like a iPod hook up with the radio Ive been looking all over the internet but haven't found anything?

The mp3 feature was not available on 2004. It became a standard after the face lift in 06+ models. You can only play standard audio CDs. As for the iPod, there is a couple options available for those cars. Do you have a NAV or non NAV radio? Since they use different kits.

You can also find good deals on eBay for iPod kits, CARID.com. Just make sure you get the one for the type of head unit you have. Simple plug n play.

You're welcome! That's what I'm using in mine and am pretty happy with it! Love the two options of steering wheel control or via iPod Control if you want your passenger to act as a DJ on long road trips It will also display text on your screen.

yup i was sad back in days when i found out 04 was not mp3 compatible

I put an 06 radio in my 04 it plays mp3 discs not but the orange screen has no idea what is happening when a mp3 disc is playing so you don't know any song info or track number.

Maybe just try a different format? I play burnt CD's often in my '03 and have never had a problem. The nav screen also shows track/title info. I'd have to look and see what format was used from my iTunes library.
