Has anyone changed lower control arms them selves? Is it difficult? And I'm thinking of going with moog. Any feedback would be helpful. If have a 03 fx45 btw

You can do it in your driveway. All you need is a jack, jack stands, socket set,big ratchet, screw driver ,ball joint sepparating fork, hammer.
preferably a torque wrench since most arms are aluminum. Im pretty sure i saw a write up somewhere around here.

Yea they need to be replaced per infiniti. And it making a weird humming sound. I thought I was the hubs but I replaced em and the sound persisted. The steering wheel is also shaking. I'm hoping this will fix that

Lol then this might be my problem now.. I thought my wheel bearings were shot cause I hear a humming noise. But it does change when I turn left or right on the road. The tires also doesn't shake vertically when on jack stands. The steering wheel has started to shake, so who knows.

Performance wise stiffer bushings makes a better difference in handling but sometime affects NVH. When my front right control arm went bad, the car started swaying on rough roads but didn't give out any vibrations or sound. Best way to check it is to jack the car up and check for looseness with a pry bar

I have to check mines once it's back from body shop. Around 60mph I get a vibration in sheering wheel. I've done an alignment, brake work, and still can't seem to shake it. I do get hear a rubber squeak from the front passenger side at times. It's maybe due to my KiDo Coilovers going bad and the rubber bushing wore out. I hope at least.
I hope to have Handy Andy replace the front KiDo and take a peek at any other possible suspension components.

fx45chicago- Try to roadforce balance them, the normal balance machine doesnt fix the 60mph shake. Have you touched the rack bolt? It might just be from the rack. If you previously got an alignment then they would of probably noticed any major suspension issues

So the wheels are road force balanced. The bolt on the rack was adjusted some years ago. I have to pay a visit to Handy Andy's to get my front Coilovers replaced so I'm hoping that fixes the issues. Although, I don't think it was the coils, but you never know.

readjust that bolt, it gets loose after time. and a thorough suspension check needs to be done. I would start with engine mounts.
