I had this issue come up a few weeks back and after doing some googling and nothing conclusive I looked the CVA over had new wheel bearings installed still had an issue and while under the car I noticed the u joint for the drive shaft coming out of the rear of the transfer had a shiny spot on it I grabbed the shat and can move it over a half inch the bearings on one side are shot , this is not a fix all for clicking coming from the front but if you are having this issue try looking at that u joint

This is very interesting. I too am having some clicking noises coming from the front. A kind of metallic clicking noise. Parking the FX, I walked around to the front passenger, grabbed the wheel, and began rocking the vehicle. With a flashlight, I noticed that the noise is in fact coming from the UNIVERSAL JOINT. As you stated, it was moving and loudly clicking about a an inch or so. please let me know if you had any further discoveries with this. Thanks!!!
