click sound while turning the wheel

I'm hearing a click sound when I turn the wheel almost fully to one end. About a quarter before I reach the limit a click sound goes off. It happens either direction I turn. I haven't drove my car for three weeks and its the second time driving it now.

Its at 28048 miles. Yeah it sounds really close to the steering column. It does sound like its from outside.hard to locate exactly where

best way to inspect it is while a friend moves the steering wheel you check and find the sound under the car. Could be tie rods, outter cv joint and etc

Mines started doing this around the same mileage. Are you moving or still when you hear it? Mine was really distinct when I had the steering turned and drove onto uneven ground like turning into a gas station driveway. The dealer replaced a strut under warranty, never heard the noise again.
