CLeaning Roof Rack Aluminum

Hello All,

I'm just joining the Forum today. (See my intro Thread post)

I'm the proud owner once again of an '07 FX35.

I have a few things I need to straiten up to get her in Tip Top shape and I would really appriceate your help.

The first order of business is the roof rack as I tried to clean it this weekend with an aluminmum clearer and That didn't work.

So, now I have a big white area on my faded roof rack.

I'm sure I'm not the 1st to ask about this. Any links to other threads would be great.

Is it the same type of finish they use on the interior? I've seen pics and always thought it was just a coating they used.
 
If they are real AL I suggest to use Eagle 1 Nevrdull. But if its just painted. You can use any type of paint cleaner and wax to restore its finish.
