Clarkson slams the FX50S

I read that before... not sure if it was previously posted here or not. This guy had to have been paid off or something... either that or severe make loyalty to the extent that he wouldn't even consider any others. :tdown:
 
Well it is Clarkson so you have to take it with a grain of salt and understand his bias. And his sense of humor I guess. One thing that gets to me is that he complains about the dynamics of the FX50 but then goes on to praise the Range Rover Sport, which is a complete and utter pig of a SUV - slow, heavy and ponderous. With a complete and utter bollocks interior for $60K (I know because my wife was going to buy one). :confused:
 
I take his reviews with a grain of salt. If the car is not British or the least European he tends to ramble on with extreme bias. Too bad Range Rover isn't even British anymore and his beloved Jaguar has more Ford DNA than he cares to admit.
 
wow lets see....he's in the UK....almost all the responders are from the UK....Land Rover is from the UK...hmmm

All of his whole long article (which really starts talking about the cars 4 scrolls down) is..this thing is ugly...fast...but ugly and uncomfortable....oh its not that fast....

Funny but I've read a few not so favorable reviews of the new 2nd generation FX lately. It seems to be coming under heavy criticism for it's poor ride, suspension tuning, lack of utility, and of course it's sheer ugliness. But that one's forgivable.

When I drove it I thought the ride and suspension were pretty good myself. Albeit a lot "softer" than the 1st gen chassis. Not so much sport but far more luxury. And the utility argument depends on your perspective. I see it as a bigger, roomier, more practical sports sedan with a raised profile. I guess if you look at it as a true SUV then the utility doesn't match up to a Q7 or X5 admittedly.
