Chrome Window Trim REPLACEMENT

Hello, has anyone ever REMOVED their chrome trim from their FX35/QX70? I bought one that had some pretty bad hail damage. I want to replace it with a $20 chrome roll, only issue is the QX70 models have a width changing quarter panel trim that can't be replicated with a roll. My only other thought is to completely remove the window trim around the doors, and leave the quarter panel trim in so that they can match flush. Thanks in advance.

It's cheap and easy to black out most chrome trim w/plasti-dip. I did this on mine but not the window trim, not yet at least.

Yeah, you can plasti-dip that to black it out. I just didn't on my car yet.
