Cheap Wheel Bearings?

I just wanted to see what everyone thinks about the cheap wheel bearings sold by rockauto. Specifically this model http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=4286688&cc=1422852 that is listed for $36 a piece. That is a considerable difference from the Timken that sells for $130. I need to replace both my front bearings on my 03 FX45, and saving close to $200 would be nice.

I know the Timken are the most popular ones on the forums, but I actually did replace the front driver side bearing with a Timken about 30k miles ago, and it is making a lot of noise again, so I am hesitant to buy that one again.

So if anyone has tried these discount bearings please let me know how they worked out for you. Rockauto also has other options priced at $46, then a Beck/Arnley priced at $83.

Thank you.

I actually did all my wheel hub bearings on one of them instead of getting the OE from Infiniti like I did with the first 3 I bought a Timken after about a month that particular one was shot so I ended up getting another one from Infiniti and haven't had a problem since.

Your post is hard to understand. Are you saying you used the cheaper bearings, and they worked out for you?

I replaced my fronts with Timkens since I was able to get them for a good price. I bought C-tek rear bearings but only replaced one side. Both have been fine so far.

I got Pro's on the rear and Timken upfront. Installed 1.5 years ago, both perform just fine.

Thanks for the replies so far guys. It's good to hear some people are trying the options besides Timken with some success.

I am still going back and forth on which to go with.

I have timkens up front and so far so good. I dunno about cheap bearings. All luck when it come to cheap stuff. To me i feel as though if a buy cheap important parts, im gona wind up paying twice the labor when it fails early as compared to good reliable parts.

No the cheaper bearings crapped out I went to the infiniti dealer and picked up the oem bearings. No problems since.

Timken all the way. There's a reason why they are OEM. If you're about to sell it, maybe cheap stuff. If she's gonna be around for a while, timken in my opinion and experience.

If I were u , I would go with timken , I replaced on my fx45 2 months ago , and works good , now I have another one for pass side that I have to replace , it's right here in the box :) ... U need to be careful with the cheap ones , cause they have a wheel sensor , and u might get a light on your dashboard... Go with timken...

Wheel sensor is mounted on the knuckle. You do need to remove the wheel sensor before taking the wheel bearing off.
