Center Console dvd player upgrade

I've seen a few pictures of people that have center console dvd players, they look a lot like those used in computers... has anyone placed a blu-ray drive in their vehicle? Do you know if the screen resolution on the Navi will look all that better with blu-ray vs the standard? any ideas or suggestions? Thanks! -Mike
 
No , oem screen is crap so it is better to get aftermarket, I Velcro a tablet over oem, different is night and day

If you're referring to the dvd player under the center console armrest if you have the rear entertainment dvd screen then no you can't replace that with a bluray player.

Also that dvd player is for the rear entertainment screen only. It's not for the navigation. Our navigations are hard drive based and don't use dvd.

The center console is a DVD player that plays on the center console screen ONLY when parked in the 09+. And you may be able to get a Blu-ray player to work but the video would not look better without replacing the screen too.
