I installed a aluminum Weapon-R catch can on my FX35 and noticed a hissing sound. No leaks anywhere it appears it's noise being generated by the catchcan. I have one hose going to the valve cover (where the stock breather hose is and the other on the tube coming off the factory plenum. My install is just like everyone elses so I was checking to see if anyone else noticed this type of sound post catch can install. It sounds like air moving thru the can creating some external hissing type sounds. Thanks fellas!

Had this problem with my first catch can - it was the sound of the air going into and coming out of the can. The fittings (can inlet/outlet) were a little too small, so I bought a different can with larger fittings and it operates silently.

Also - the oil level sight tube uses plastic press fittings. Under pressure I don't trust them at all - you sure they are not leaking? On my first can I ended up removing the sight tube and plugging the fitting holes.

like jumbo said, the hissing is normal .... you can test it by restricting the tube to hear it go away...
I ok with the sight fittings as they are similar to the ones used for pneumatic applications...
where did you end up mounting it? pics!
oil catch can is better then no can

Thanks guys! I'll post pics tnite...I also got a 350z Weapon-R coolant overflow tank...looking at adapting to our ride. I appreciate all the responses!
