Broken Rear Armrest

Hey guys, the pull from my rear armrest pulled out. I went to the dealer to get it checked out and they quoted me $902 to fix it. They said I need to replace the whole assembly.

Has this happened to anyone else? It seems as simple as a screw falling out.

Went to Kelly Infiniti in Peabody, MA.
 
I wouldn't force it down, but I would try to see if you can get to the latch mechanism by sticking your fingers in there.

This happened to me don't freak out homie my daughter opened it and the screw came off... The dealer quoted me at $350 talking about removing the leather and the back seats all this b.s... You can open the armrest with a hanger there's a lol metal piece that has a eye stick through there and pull it down... After you get it down... Open up the armrest and remove the plastic cup holder remove the screws too ... It pops right out after that your gonna need someone to help you my wife helped me just have them pull down the leather on the side from the armrest and meanwhile you put the latch in and screw it back on to the lil metal piece trust me it's REALLY SIMPLE JUST NEED TO HAVE PATIENCE..
 
There is a TSB to fix this issue. If you are still under warranty for the bumper to bumper warranty its covered.

I had this issue too and what the dealer does it upgrade the bolt and spacers that hold the strap in a retorque it to be tighter so the strap doesn't fall off again.
 
Seriously? I've got that 7yr 100000 "wrap" warrantee that I added when I got it CPO last year. The service tech said my warrantee didn't cover it, which was to my surprise. Maybe call the service manager and reference the TSB?
