Brand new fx35 AWD 2011

so i just got this a couple days ago, 0 miles, and ive already experienced some onboard computer issues, already poasted about it, but i was wondering as well when im cruising at like 50 and slowly stop for a light or going up a hill but slowing down, in D mode i feel the transmission when it shifts down, im pretty sure it shouldnt be noticeable, but in DS mode its much lighter than when in D mode when it happens, would it require a ECU reflash?
 
sorry to post in urs, because i m new here so i could not post a new one, my question is, i just purchased Fx35 2012 AWD, can i change it to RWD? it supposed to have a switch button on panel but i did not c it :( thanks
 
AWD Infiniti's run in RWD 100% of the time. Only when the AWD computer senses slip or unwanted wheel spin does it send 50% of power to the front wheels. and 50% to the rear. Otherwise any other time your using RWD since the AWD is rear wheel biased.

Are you sure? The 1st Gen FX's start in awd mode and switch to rwd around 12mph...unless slip is detected.
 
I saw some reviews that said the 2nd gen uses RWD 100% of the time then diverts power to the front wheels only when needed?? I could be wrong though.
 
i m not pretty sure about that, hixx, because i feel the car sounds grummmm grumm bit heavy when i drive <40 so i thought it could be drove in AWD :( and cost gas a lot >"<
 
Well if you don't believe it maybe ask the dealership and they may give you a definitive answer?

If you are worried about the mpg difference from rwd and awd... I'm not so sure you bought the right vehicle! A sporty crossover/suv... many aren't in it for the superb gas mileage, least I would imagine that is correct.

From Wiki: Some models fitted with the ATTESA-ETS system, such as the Nissan RS4 Stagea, have a "S" button on the dash. This will bypass the control system of the ATESSA-ETS ecu and lock the transfer case into full 4wd. This is to be uses at low speeds in snowy and icy conditions only as understeer is greatly increased in this mode.

Is this the equivalent of our SNOW mode? I was under the impression it just retards throttle response. But does it also lock it in 4WD?
 
I never liked the snow mode. It limits the responsiveness of the car which I'm sure is its intended purpose. I would had to use it once during a heavy snowstorm last year.
