Brakes locking up!!! Need help...

Hey guys,

I just noticed it last night while I was on a stop light on a full stop. It seems like my rear brake locks up everytime I depress the brakes all the way down & then it releases after I force it to go by gassing it. As I park, I could smell a burning smell coming from the driver's side rear wheel well. Does anyone here had this problem before?
 
I would try to bleed the brake system first to see if it fix the problem. If not most likely you'll need to replace the caliper.
 
Sometimes the caliper can get stuck. Might be a fluke or a malfunction. Best to get it checked out.
 
your caliper piston must be rusted or broken..
properly functioning caliper will allow you to tighten the C-clamp and compress the caliper piston. A sticking caliper is going to be very difficult, if not impossible, to compress
