Brake Rotors/Pads recommendations

my brakes weirdly started making a squeal only on front driver side and if i press down the squeal stops and shows up on turns again.
Last trip to dealer he said i was at a 3 for brake pads and i was ok for then. The squeal when braking indicates wear indicator giving a warning but interesting thing is when braking there is NO sound its on turns and shows up randomly.
Any thoughts /recommendations.
I was looking up this in forums and "powerstop brakes and rotors kit z23" with carbon ceramic was the recommendation - i thought its pricey at $500 for all 4 brakes/rotors.

Kindly advise.
 
I know the squeal is bcos they put a metal piece to let us know it's time to replace brake pads. The dealer said it was at 5/10, why the random sudden squeal which goes away when i brake. There is NO squeal on braking- which i thought was interesting !
 
Typically noise is a result of a few things. Either the pads need to be cleaned up with sandpaper or the rotors have glazing on them. There's also the chance that the brake dust shield is very close to the rotor and on turns the rotor leans into the dust shield and makes a noise. Bearings aren't 100% tight, they have some tolerance and the older they are the more tolerance they have.

Seeing how the 2017 version of the QX70 has the standard brakes, I had these on my 2012 FX35 originally and after a year of use I got tired of them. I personally upgraded to the factory Akebono big brakes. Bigger more dense rotors, bigger aluminum calipers (4 piston front, 2 piston rear). I did it all properly by swapping the brakes lines, the brake dust shields as well. I'm much happier now. Gains? Rotors can take a lot more heat so they don't warp as easily. Better stopping power. Oh and factory, which for liability makes me sleep better. There's also the choice of Luxury or Sport pads. Luxury is ceramic and sport is semi-metallic. Sport pads grip pretty aggressively but they also create a lot of dust that's a bit of a pain. I've kept to the luxury pads for ease of cleaning.
 
Is there a detailed video or a document showing how to replace brakes and rotors for a2017 qx70, can someone please share.
 
i found the detailed manuals from NICO Club, apparently haynes stopped making these manuals, there are some online resources available for those in Ohio - stark public library.
