Big Problem with my car

i bought my 2007 fx35 automatic a month ago. So i decided to drive to vegas this past weekend which is like 258 miles away one way. About 3/4 the way there my car starts over revving and transmission goes all weird kinda like its stuck only one one gear. So I pull over to the side and open the hood and it's smoking and I turn it off and then on again and the car is about to die. Left the hood open for about 15 min and it was fine after but now the engine doesnt sound normal when I turn the engone on. and even on the way back the car was going slower than usual, civics were blowing past me lol.Anyone have any idea whats wrong??? A friend said radiator might be leaking or some kind of fluid is lost. Dont think this should be happening on a certified pre owned vehicle just bought. :confused:
 
you should still be covered under factory warranty. take it to Metro Infiniti, and ask for Cheryl.
it could be the transmission line that goes to the trans cooler (located under the radiator).
have you check ed your transmission fluid levels? you can find the transmission dipstick but looking here...

i didnt smell it anything specific just smoke and i dont know what color it was during night....I am taking it in to service on Wednesday to 'Cerritos Infiniti' so I will let you guys know once I find out. BTW never do business with Thousand Oaks Infiniti, I am slowly noticing bodywork damages on my vehicle.
 
Okay so I just got my car back from the dealer. They test drove it on freeway local etc. They said they couldnt get anything to act up and the computer doesnt show anything because at the time there were no alerts, temperature alerts, etc. They said fluid levels are stable too. So basically they said they can't find a problem. That is very odd what happened HAPPENED. The engine should not be smoking like that. But yea so I just got my car back with a free car wash basically.

That sucks that the dealer couldn't replicate it figure out what happened, but I guess they can only fix what they see. So does it still sound not normal and feel slower?
 
I use to live in vegas. Yes the car will drive like crap there.. Should be pushing over 100 degrees by now. My car would feel like it was straining to move on when Im driving under normal conditions. Felt like I would have to give it more gas than usual.
 
oaky so ur saying it is normal??? my leg was literally cramping cuz i was mashing on the accelerator so hard. i saw corollas blow past me LOL
 
I dont understand about the dealer not fixing it because its not a visual problem.

is it smoking? does it drive slow? from you what you said the mechanic should check and verify your findings.
