Im looking to buy a grounding kit for my 03 fx35. Any suggestions on a good one thats reasonably priced with good results?

The grounding kits do have a function; To reduce electrical resistance. It is absolutely a measurable difference. Some people claim to feel a difference and some claim to not be able to feel any difference. I have one the one that Jumbosrule referenced and I felt a difference. Jbaker1121 made his himself and did not notice any difference. By far the majority here who have grounding kits installed cite positive effects.

To answer your question, there are many different options for you. My personal recommendation is the one I have installed, which is very affordable and effective. This one: https://www.infinitiscene.com/search/1/?q=s...ead.php?t=7780

i haven't opted for grounding kit for the same belief that jbaker has. since my time at 350zmotoring, i have been dubious about grounding kit and didn't buy it because a lot of people claimed to feel nothing or were instinctive about it.

I had it in for a while. I beleived it made a difference but then again, everytime I get a car wash I feel my car is faster too.

I'm now thinking it was all in my head.

+1 ^^^ Totally agree!

Truth is that the electrical effect is measurable (reducing resistance), but often there is no measured performance gain. People "feel" subjective things.

Some grounding kits are completely for show. That is, they are arranged in the engine bay to look nice, while providing grounding connections between parts that generally don't need any more grounding than they already have.

The point of the FX developed kit I keep plugging was to connect the aftermarket grounding wires to EXISTING grounding points on the OEM harness. So while the entire chassis is connected to ground, the electrical pathway is through the metal chassis, which has an associated resistance. The grounding kit provides a direct line to the negative terminal of the battery from each of those factory OEM points, using multi-stranded quality wires that lower that resistance. Lower resistance means lower line loss, means higher current, and it means things that require electricity to run (connected to those grounding points) are getting, "more juice".

I totally understand how that would be good for the car, but might or might not impact how the car will feel or drive. Unless you had a bad grounding connection that installing the grouding kit fixes, I doubt you'll notice that much. But rest assured knowing you improved the electical potentials of your FX.

kinda like your ground wire for your subs and amp?

Exactly. You could just connect any ground wire to the chassis, but for the best performance from those audio components it is recommended you run the ground wire directly to the negative (ground) terminal of the battery.
