I just recently got my belts changed but they squeak everyday. Most of the time it happens when I have the AC on or when I turn from a complete stop. It sucks and its embarrassing. A friend told me that I might need new tensioners. But Iv been reading a few threads and the belts might be to tight. Can anyone give me an example of how tight the belts have to be?

Did you do the belt change yourself? If you had it done somewhere than I suggest going back there and have them correct it.

Not sure if FX35 have auto tensioners, was very easy on my FX45 to change. Could also need some grease.

Ed, do you have a write-up for the 45 for this DIY?

See attached PDF.

I bought the parts from amazon.com, it was ridiculous cheap compared to OEM. Gates V belt I believe, I just typed in my car type in the auto section and it showed what fit on my car.

Auto tensioner makes it fool proof install...

OK. I adjusted my belts and it was really easy. At first I loosened both belts and that made the alternator belt squeal like crazy. So it turns out that the AC belt was the one that was too tight. Thanks yall.
