Battery for 06 fx35 ikey

I have 06 fx35 with ikey. I have been getting the battery from costco. After a year it has a hard time on cold starts. (and I am in SD so not that cold) also after not driving for a few days. I get a new battery, works fine.
Looking at their list, 06 uses 500 cca but 07 ikey wants 750. (the battery says it's 640) wondering if I need a bigger battery. They have a 700 which looks like it would fit.
Since costco does free replacement, its not costing me, but still an annual battery change seems excessive...

Thoughts?

Reading through the forum found: https://www.infinitiscene.com/search/1/?q=11403-cold-start-problems Seems a lot of the 06 iKey's have the same issue. I wonder if thats why they switched to a bigger battery. Is there any down side to having more cca?

I have the same car with ikey and I just replaced my battery in August with a Bosch premium that is 640cca....had the same battery previously
and it lasted for over 4 years. Anyway just came back from a vacation and the car hadn't been driven for about 10 days and it had trouble starting up...
but I think that's just because it was sitting for so long. Next day I started it up and it started fine....

Yep I replaced mine also with an Optima Red Top and I replaced the battery connectors with Heavy Duty Brass ones (Projecta BT642HP) now when my FX sits for several days it will still start up without any problems. Before that I had the dealer change my battery and it only lasted about a year. Everything was fine if I drove it daily, but if I let it sit for several days and then try to start it no go! I only drive about 5000 miles a year so my FX is parked most of the time. The dealer is still amazed that my 08 is barely turning over 40k miles.

+1 on the red top Optima (love those batteries). I would say your fine with your 640cca battery especially if your new battery you bought is a AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat Battery Technology), then it will almost always have less cold cranking amps vs. a regular cell battery, but perform WAY better. Also AGM batteries are more resistant to cold weather. I just recently bought a Super Start AGM battery for my 2003 FX45 because its been extremely cold in Utah the last couple of weeks (mid to low teens for the high!) and I couldn't be happier with the AGM's performance. I can let it sit in the freezing cold for over a week without driving it, and it starts up strong every time. AGM is preferred when a high burst of amps are required, and excel in being almost impervious to the effects of vibration. You may want to consider that if you haven't. Just my 2 cents.
