Finally happened today, got locked out of my car. Stinking car battery died and I could not disarm my viper to get in...and since I did the escutcheon(spelling??) mod, I had no keyhole. UGH... Finally lifted the handle and popped off the escutcheon(??) Luckily this happened in my garage . Battery is on the charger as I type..

the FX feels neglected since the arrival of the wrx..... its trying to tell ya something Jeff.

I have been kind of neglecting it:frown:, I need my rims and tires seriously balanced...feels like the wheels are about to fall off on the freeway. I can't help playing with the suby, it's like being a kid in the candy shop. <><>My name is Jeff and I like playing with my toys<><>.:wub:

How true.
Our cars do have feelings. Things like this, re-affirm why I keep the spare tire in its place. Ya never know what hand you're gonna be dealt, and when.
You better park the subi by the wall in the garage. Fx might decide to kick doors in the middle of the night. They do share the same bed.

Jeff how were you able to get the Estucheon off without scratching the paint off the door hadle...

Is it that heasy to take off?

By the way same thing happened to me. I did a new electrical mod with Randy (Caskyline) and put in a relay to have my HID fogs turn on when I switch on the DTRL..

Seems like my HID fogs drained the power of my batter. Dunno how that can be since they were off. Hmm? Just got a jump and unlocked the FX to start it up to open it.

I guess I was more lucky that you were...

I did scratch the escutcheon a little, luckily it is not that visible. Pretty simple to take off, all I did was lift the handle and pry the escutcheon off with my key on the side by the handle.

I was also looking into braille batteries because of the weight savings, but i have not heard much about that company...anyone have any insight?

Are you running the Braile? How is it? (on most days)

http://www.brailleauto.com/

I was running the braille, but I didn't drive my car enough...so the battery kept dying. I have the normal battery in at the moment, if you do get the braille and you drive your car everyday it will be fine. If you drive you car every few days get a trickle charger.
