Battery Change problem; Camera & dashborad not working

I took my 05 FX 35 to advance autopart for a battery change and I helped the guy installing it. Once the new battery was installed, the rear camera, clock, memory seat, and the dashboard lights stopped working along with the trip mileage resetting every time the car is turned on. All three fuse boxes were checked and all the fuses seem to be okay.

This seems to be a common problem with the FX and I was hoping for some suggestions before taking it in to the dealership.

Thanks

Even though the fuses are Okay..

Depending on how you installed the battery, worst case scenario, you might of blown the interior management module....

Try to take the positive cable off and press on the brakes until there is no power left in the FX..... Take 60 seconds and then place the positive cable back on and see if you are back in business....

Good Luck

Hi humbertocali,

Thanks for ur help, I took the positive cable off for 60 sec and when I put it back on, I still had the same problem; camera is out along with the dashboard lights!
you mentioned about the interior management module being blown; any ideas on how to check on that?

Thanks

the fuse associated with those problems are located in the interior fuse box by the steering wheel. Its one of the red ones inthe middle. If you cant figure it out take it to the dealer, it'll run you about $40

Glad you got it resolved. Quickest way to check the fuses without taking them out is with a continuity tester...they sell them at home depot. When you touch each fuse it lights up if it works> if it doesnt its blown. BUT make sure you touch both sides of the fuse(on top) left and right. IF one side lights ulp but another doesnt its dead as well> Replace and your good to go.

Thanks a lot Brooklyn, it was one the red fuses in the middle that was blown. All fixed now.

Thanks
