Back-Up Camera & LEDs

I was curious to whether or not anybody has had any issues at night with seeing out their rear view camera after installing reverse and/or licence plate LEDs? I'm not exactly sure which of the two sets of lights is creating the issue because I installed them all at once but it is definitely much more difficult to see the image of the back up camera now than it ever was with halogens. It's almost as if the screen is lit up with a halo on all four sides and cleaning the lens does no good. I often have even resorted to old faithful (turning completely around and checking mirrors... unacceptable, jk).

I had issues when I replaced the license plate bulbs with LED, the backup lights showed very yellow until I replaced those with LED. Now, no problems.

i'm going to guess that one or both of the license plate light is shining direclty into the camera or the reflection off of your plate is blinding your camera. try covering your plate with something non reflective and see if that helps for troubleshooting

Did you try adjusting the brightness/contrast? While in Reverse, press the Settings button to bring up the backup image settings options.

That doesn't make sense, your solution was to change your back up lights to LED?

Wow, didn't know you could do that. I'll try.

AeroBFA, where'd you get those lights? I like those.

The issue was that I had LED lights for the license plate and standard incandescent for backup lights. The actual color spectrum was different between the two, so the backup lights looked very yellow and washed out until I replaced them with pure white LEDs to match. Once I did that, the wash out went away and all was well...
