Is there really a difference when it comes to rwd and awd coilovers? Or is it as simple as a bolt used here, but not used there? Does having coils that are designed for CDC, but your car doesn't have it, does that even matter?

I believe the dampers on the rear have a different mount depending on whether you have CDC or not - so a non-CDC damper will not bolt up to the CDC mount type. BC do a custom mount for their non-CDC dampers.
