Hey all, so I am going to be moving to AZ in a week for a new job just North of the Boarder. Was wondering if anyone here is in AZ. Also, I started looking at the registration for cars there. Please don't tell me that is is more expensive to register a car there than it is in Cali? Hope someone is out there.

Welcome to Az...;)

You may be in for a pleasant surprise. Smog /inspection is every other year at a cost of $27.50. And yearly tag renewal is based on value of vehicle (your '04 should be under $200)
If you with a personalized plate, I believe that's an extra $25, then there is also a collection of specialty plates to choose from, (another $25 if if choose)

Another bonus, is that you do not have to run with a front plate and detract from the look of the front bumper... ;)

Thanks Luna X for your reply. I was starting to get concerned from what I was reading on the DMV website. I am paying over $200 here in LA. +1, no tag on the front, I like that.
