Are there any sources that say what percentage of FX owners are male/female?

Are there any sources, maybe JD power or something similar that can tell us the information on what most FX buyers are, gender wise? I guess more specifically, what gender drives the car more often (Example: a husband buys an FX for his wife, so she counts towards the demographic statistic I'm looking for in this question, not the husband.)

Alot of my friends think that my FX is a "chick" car because it's a crossover and I want see for myself what the actual stat's are.

Thanks!

I would say from an enthusiast POV this forum is 90/10 Men over Women. As for a more accurate % of actual drivers of an FX, the world may never know...

Around me i have seen more women driving the fx than men. I would also be curious as to what the percentage may be though.

I ensure my husband will not drive my FX by keeping super fem vanity plates on it. He is too embarrassed to drive it. :)

I see 3 different chicas rolling in my 'hood with Gen 1's. They don't appear to being showing them any special love, however. All scuffed up and dirty...sad really.

My sister and I are both FX lovers, we are each on our 2nd. I went from the 03 to the 07, she had an 06 and bought the 09. We are trying to convert our mother although she would would fall into the scuffed/dirty category!

I know of many members here that their wives drive the FX. I love modding and driving the Fx, but I bought it for her. I work too far for it to be economical for me to drive it everyday. So if you ever see my FX , Docs, or the Mountain Man FX's on the road, most likely the wives would be driving.

I dont see to many on the road here in Connecticut but when I do its a man driving it... I love it it's the ultimate chic magnet!

Could be worse, I joined a local miata group when I bought my mazdaspeed a few years back. I knew that it would be an obscure group, mostly male, but was not expecting so many to be much older with black socks, sandals and shorts.

I see about 9 FXs on a routine basis (not counting my own). 3 of the drivers are male, and the other 6 drivers are female. One of the 6 is a 2nd Gen that I see twice a day because I walk my dog past her house in the morning and late afternoon. I'm not sure if our walking habits are attributed to the fact that she's cute or because I like the car... Either way, the route is convenient, and the pup doesn't seem to mind...
