Anything we can do with stock exhaust to make more HP and make it a little louder

They pretty much all use the same couple of cores since it's not something that anyone can just go and make. But there probably wouldn't be any cost advantage. The cores are $100 each, so there's $200+ right there depending on which ones you get. Then a shop has to use mandrel bent piping and a couple of O2 bungs and flanges. Not expensive, but they then have to test fit and weld.

I had an HFC built for my old car because no one made a 3". I basically just had flanges welded onto a core with a couple of inches of straight pipe on each end. Exhaust shop was cool so they only charged me $50 for the labor. That was with no bends and only 1 cat so I was in $150+ for one HFC. Off the shelf ones were going for $190. I don't think a shop can build 2 for less than the cost of Kinetix which are like $399 retail and usually sold for less.

A lot of times those companies will just buy an HFC module like any exhaust shop could get or you can get online, and then the work they do is designing it and adding piping so that it lines up with the OEM mounts. I had them added to my midpipes, so it's not hard to do, and might even be cheaper for a shop to fab some up for you if they have the right flanges and piping.

I would really like to keep the exhaust stock cause from my readngs it's pretty good, i wouuld just like to get the Kinetix hfc's but apparently i will get rasp. That sucks cause even on theri webiste they say no rasps with a stock exhaust

Companies say a lot of things to sell product. And your experience may vary, some people swear there's no rasp, some people say the rasp is terrible. This is across all cats from Kinetix to Berk to Crawford, etc. Some people say the noise is unbearable, some say it's just as quiet as stock. Rasp is sort of subjective, everyone knows what it is, but everyone also has a different definition of it.

But if you don't merge the pipes properly, a 2.5" pipe flowing into a 2.25" pipe with no transition can cause noise. And aftermarket HFC's and Kinetix especially use thinner materials than the OEM cats so that will lead to more noise as well.

Tee money,
Not sure if my 09 muffler setup will bolt on your car.....but it will make it louder. Check the For Sale area. I am close by it seems as well.

Thank you for the offer teddis. I either hfc's or i'll be patient and wait to buy the Invidia. Would prefer the nismo s tune but can't find them

It won't bolt up without some mods.

And tee, a Fujitsubo is pretty much a Nismo exhaust. They may be a little easier to find, but still rare.
