Ive had my FX since 2004 and since then i have experienced problems with my FX, bad shimmy, wobble, loose steering.Ive gone to 3 dealers, charged 150 for inspection and they all pointed out to my alignment and tires. So i wanted someone who owns a FX too test drive my car and maybe i can test drive yours and see if you car experiences the same issues.

Ill treat you to a local starbucks for your time. Thank you

im really not sure how i can help, but ill try. i may have some time saturday or sunday morning (mini socal meet?). youre welcome to test drive mine. im assuming your tires are balanced and alignment done and still have problems?

ive been wanting that for a while, but never had a time with work and all. Hopefully soon or later i will show up :smile (2):
Come on up to Big Bear :wink (2):

Thank you! Saturday and Sunday are perfect for me. My tires were balanced 6 months back at costco. Alignment done 2 months ago, and since then ive gone 2 other shops and been informed its in spec.

Thats the problem, tightening the rack bolt is not helping at all, doesnt do anything.

Tighten steering wheel column and your problem will go away. If you haven't done alignment in a while, it is probably a great idea.

I had a similar issue. I just got 2 new tires on the front and the tire guys noticed one of my wheels was a little out of whack. He balanced the tires and told me this one wheel should go on the back. He put on one rear wheel on the machine and noticed the wheel was true. Switching the wheels around made a huge difference. Now I always keep that one rim in the back, but have to pay $30 to mount and remount when I do rotation.

will research into this, thanks

I asked because I believe I have the same problem with my 2003 fx

I'm new to IS and live around here as well (hawthorne )
Any up coming meet ?

I had the same problem my self esp on
Uneven pavement my handle would wobble and just steer side to side like 90degrees and stuff and

For me when i changed the springs out and got a final alignment it went away....
Funny thing is it even did that when i swapped to hnr springs ..... Only after i adjusted my alignment it got better
