Anyone else using the Mediabridge on a non-nav FX?

I installed my Mediabridge a few days ago. It's the 1503 model I believe. 2003 FX45 without NAV. I have my IPOD Nano 6th gen. hooked up via USB. Everything works fine and the sound quality is great. My only complaint is that navigating through the IPOD is impossible. The "seek" buttons, presets 1-6 and the steering wheel controls change how the Mediabridge reads the IPOD i.e. "song, playlist, artist, audiobook, album, etc." My question is, does anyone know if it's even possible with this thing to select the artist you want, then scroll through the songs by them? When I change it to "artist" mode, there is no way to change the song by that artist. If I press the "tune" button all it does is advance to the next artist and in "song" mode, pressing the "tune" button just starts going through all the songs on the IPOD in order.

Maybe since I don't have NAV, I can't get a fancy way to scroll through the folders. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

The unplugging the IPOD, picking a song or artist, then plugging it back in works great. I am kind of disappointed that navigating through the factory radio isn't better. Time to move the factory screen overhead and grab an aftermarket stereo.
