Hi folks,
I am considering a 2008 FX45. I have only seen pictures yet, but have talked to the selling dealer (private dealer). It looks like a million bucks - EXCEPT for the driver's seat cushion leather. It is bubbled so badly that I can't live with it - huge bubble like there's a football under it. The vehicle history shows dealer visits every 3-6 months on average - regular enough to be scheduled maintenance for the most part. It has the brick colour interior.
I know Infiniti extended the warranty for the dash problem. The seat leather bubbling & wrinkling seems to be every bit as prevalent as the dash problem. Have they owned up to the problem by extending the warranty, issuing a TSB or even a good will or shared cost offer? I've had 2 Q45's and currently have a Maxima - 348,000 kms on the '92, 250,000 kms on the '95 and 180,000 kms on the Maxima - and the leather was perfect in all of them without any cracks, wrinkles (other than designed into the seats) or bubbling.
