I just joined the Scene. Bought my first Infiniti...a 2006 FX45 in ivory pearl/wheat. Already started with the upgrades too. I ordered some 22x9 Giovanna Martuni wheels in matte black to be wrapped in 285/40R22 Toyo tires. Unfortunately the wheels are on backorder so it might take a few more weeks. I will def post some pix when I get em on there! I just bumped up the tint yesterday too. I am thinking of ordering a black badgeless grille off eBay too. Anyone have any experience with those? The only thing that makes me nervous is that is says it fits 03-08 FXs...but wasn't there a change in 2005-2006?? I may just try it anyway and send it back if it doesn't fit (it's less than $200 shipped).
I really want to upgrade my intake and exhaust! It seems like people have modified the Stillen z-tube to fit the FX45. Anyone done this? Can it be done? What other intakes are available for the '45? It seems like everything is for that damn '35... :tongue (2):
As far as exhaust goes, I wanna go cat-back. Looks like Stillen has one but I think I want to go with Nismo. I like the sound of it better. Anyone know which exhaust kit I would order? Is it the one for the 350Z? And while we're on the subject, anyone know a good exhaust shop in the Los Angeles/socal area? Preferably one that does mandrel bending...seems like everyone only does crush bends.
I think I've exhausted my introduction lol. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! Good to meet you guys!
P.S.- If anyone in socal is up for a meet, let's set one up!!
